Nations best converge in So-Cal

By Lindsey Boyd (@lindsboyd3):

Los Angeles natives like sophomore 2-meter Fin Pardon will travel home this weekend to face the best competition in the nation.

The three day Mountain Pacific Tournament is hosted by No. 2 University of Southern California (9-0) and Loyola Marymount University.

Every top 10 team in the nation will be present so SJSU will be swimming in rough waters.

The Trojans and Spartans were both present at the Aggie Shootout last weekend but the two sides did not meet in the pool.

Friday at 1 p.m will mark the first clash of the season against one another.

Last weekend SJSU beat Santa Clara 18-10 while USC left the Broncos out to dry, 20-3. The Trojans also reached the NCAA Finals last season and have 2016 Olympic athletes like senior goalie Mcquin Baron.

The rest of the weekend’s matches will be determined on the Spartan’s first-day performance, but SJSU will have it’s hands full with the second ranked team in the country.

Tickets for this spectacle of top opposition ranges from $15 up.
