Sjsu basketball player arrested on suspicion of involvement in robbery

San Jose State men’s basketball player Terrell Brown was one of five people arrested over the weekend on suspicion of robbing a man, stealing his credit card and using it to buy food at In-N-Out Burger, according to Union City police.

Brown has now been dismissed from the SJSU basketball program today for violating team rules, according to head coach Dave Wojcik.

Brown, along with the other individuals, were taken into custody and are under the suspicion of criminal threats, robbery and possession of stolen property.

According to the Mercury News, The report was filed by the victim at 1:10 am on May 27, saying the event occurred around Mariner Park off Union City Boulevard.

The victim checked his bank account to see that the stolen credit cards were used at a nearby In-N-Out, not far from the scene of the crime.

Officers then went to the restaurant and located the two vehicles described by the victim and detained all the people inside both cars, according to Union City police Lt. Jeff Snell to the Mercury News.

Brown just finished his freshman season at San Jose State University and emerged as a key component in the rise of the team this year.
